Subchondroplasty® (SCP®)

Subchondroplasty® (SCP®)

A minimally-invasive, fluoroscopically-assisted intervention that targets and fills subchondral bone defects, often called Bone Marrow Lesions (BML), with AccuFill® Bone Substitute Material. Usually performed along with arthroscopy to aid in visualization.

Key Highlights

  • Nanocrystalline, highly porous injectable calcium phosphate (CaP)
  • Mimics chemical composition/structure of natural human bone
  • Flows to fill defects, hardens isothermally at 37°C
  • Replaced with new bone during the healing process
